BOGONG
The Bogong is a kind of moth which usually migrates towards southern Australia in early October. During the Sydney 2000 Games, they became the stars of evening athletics events in the Olympic Stadium. Mild weather encouraged them to move south earlier than in other years and head for Sydney, attracted by the stadium lights and projectors. They really kept athletes and spectators busy trying to chase them by whirling their arms.
