One of the greatest champions of the ancient Olympian Games.In the space of twenty-four years, from 540 to 516 BC, Milo won six Olympic titles. He took his first when he was just a teenager. Throughout his career, Milo was thought of as a living god and poets sang his praises, turning him into a legend.One story goes that, one day, he killed an ox with his bare hands and ate it in one go.Another has it that he saved the life of a family whose house was falling in on them. He held up a column of the villa so that they could escape.On the other hand, his biographers state that he made himself carry an increasingly heavy weight every day to build up his legendary strength.
